Most authors have pen names and I’m no different. I’ve been reluctant to put those books here because everyone says I should have a website for each name. I already have three websites, adding two more would get me bogged down in websites. So without further ado, here they are!
KB Maguire is used for fantasy books. (Clicking on the pen names will take you to the Amazon author page for each.) I’ve been working on a novel and decided to write some short stories about the new realm and release them first. The first one is called Fael and is available now on Amazon. Fael is the first story in a three book series to introduce the humans of Arthion. You can see my post about it here.
I use KB Mac to write about intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet. You’ll notice my character Jack is a paleo guy in Aftermath of Disaster. I started out as paleo and it’s a good diet. Jack never evolved to keto. They’re both low card diets that forbid grains, however. Jack also doesn’t eat dinner. That’s intermittent fasting. I don’t eat dinner either. I don’t eat anything after 4pm and don’t eat breakfast until 9am. I’m up at 7am every day.
What is the benefit of intermittent fasting to a prepper? That’s easy: You food lasts longer. We’ve been conditioned our whole lives to eat three meals a day. But that’s hogwash. Sometimes I only eat breakfast. When I get busy I forget to eat, but it’s ok because I wasn’t hungry anway. Pro tip: If you’re not hungry, don’t eat. It’s really that simple.
Magical things start happening when you stop eating grains, grain products, and sugar. You stop craving those foods after about two weeks. You feel better. You lose weight. There are too many benefits to list, which is probably why I wrote books about it 🙂
With very few execptions- Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a few birthdays – I haven’t eaten grains in about seven years. I’m very serious about this way of life. I have two books about this subject, one is waiting for Amazon to approve.
The first is Intermittent Fasting and Ketogenic Diet Made Easy and is generally for beginners. Keto has a learning curve and I wrote this book to, well, make it easy. It’s also for people who don’t understand the basics and need a walkthrough.
The second one is called Intermittent Fasting and Ketogenic Diet to Cure Illness. This book covers a range of diseases and conditions that either intermittent fasting, keto, or both can help with. By eating the right foods and avoiding others, you can prevent, treat, or curse a myriad of diseases. Furthermore, it can boost your memory, so it’s great for students. I’ll have a post up soon featuring these two books as soon as Amazon approves the second.
For my post describing the two keto books, click here.
I do have other names for journal use, but I’m not going to get into those.
So there you have it. Now you know what I’m up to when not working on the Aftermath series 🙂
Speaking of which, book 3 will be available soon.
